2023 Harvest starts with SYRAH!

September is here, which means harvest is HERE! Mark picked up 5 tons of Syrah from Ranch at the End of the Road Vineyard and Red Heaven Vineyard in Red Mountain on Friday. Syrah is typically our first varietal to harvest, and this year is no exception. Now the guessing game begins as to what will be ready next. Mark’s winemaking philosophy has always been to pick our grapes with precision for the brix (amount of sugar in the grapes) and pH (acidity). We use minimal intervention in the winemaking process, allowing the grapes to shine on their own. We’ll be posting on social media when grapes are coming, so make sure you’re following along. We process all the grapes on our crush pad in the parking lot and are always happy to chat about the winemaking process while we’re working.

For the next few months, we’ll have portions of the parking lot blocked off for winemaking. But don’t worry, there is plenty of parking along the the street. We do ask that you respect our neighbors at both Acrafab (to our east) and Swiss Productions (to our west) and not park at their businesses.
