Happy Global Champagne Day!!!

We’re so excited to be celebrating this year with the release of our very own sparkling wines! Our non-vintage Tahija. Brut Rose’ and Tahija. Blanc de Blanc are now available in our tasting room. This is a project we’ve been working on for a little over two years and we couldn’t be more pleased with how it’s turned out. In keeping with our traditional house style, both sparkling wines are dry and not sweet. These wines will be available as part of our wine flights, by the glass, or by the bottle. Come celebrate these new wines this Friday Noon-8, or Saturday & Sunday Noon-5!

LOW Inventory Alert!
When we say we’re running low, we mean it! We have less than 2 cases of ’20 Petit Verdot and less than 4 cases of ’20 Syrah Reserve. The ’20 Malbec is next on the low inventory list with about 13 cases left closely followed by the ’21 Tempranillo with about 21 cases left . If any of these are your favorite make sure you stock up. If you can’t make it in within the next few weeks, respond to this email and we’ll set them aside for you.

Crushing It During Harvest at LLWC!

As I, Sarah, write this, the forecast is projecting a few more glorious patio days. We hope that you’ll come drink some wine and take advantage of them before they’re gone. We’re also about finished with harvest, with two more days scheduled to bring in the rest of our Cabernet Sauvignon and Touriga Nacional. That means a few more days to sample grapes straight off the vine before they’re made into wine. Make sure you’re following us on social media to see when the grapes will be in the tasting room.

But the fun doesn’t stop there! Once the grapes are crushed, they ferment for 15-20 days (on average) before the wine is pressed and put into barrels. This is the funnest part of the winemaking process (in my opinion) and the best time to see winemaking in action. A typical press day starts around 10 am and goes until about 3:30 pm. If you’re at the winery on a press day, grab a glass from inside and come outside to try the wine straight from the press. This is your opportunity to try the wine before it’s barrel aged, bottled, and released to you 3-4 years from now! We’ll be pressing from now until the end of the month. Check our social media for exact days.

For the next month, we’ll have portions of the parking lot blocked off for winemaking. But don’t worry, there is plenty of parking on the street. We do ask that you respect our neighbors at both Acrafab (to our east) and Swiss Productions (to our west) and not park at their businesses.

$6 Mimosas & Sparkling Glasses this Weekend Only!
Stop in the tasting room this weekend (Fri Noon-8, Sat/Sun Noon-5) for $6 mimosas or a glass of sparkling wine. The weather is going to be perfect for the patio, and this is the perfect way to celebrate!

Happy Harvest! 🍷🍇

As you’re reading this, Mark is picking up our first grapes of the season. Surprisingly, Syrah is typically the first grapes we pick and this year is no exception. We’re bringing in 4 tons of Syrah from the Ranch at the End of the Road Vineyard ready to crush, ferment, and press in the coming weeks. They should arrive at the winery around 3:00 p.m. and that’s when the real fun begins. We’ll have samples of the grapes in the tasting room for you to try and  check out the winemaking in action. Follow us on social media for all of the winemaking updates.

Podcast Interview with Mark & Sarah
We were lucky enough to be interviewed by Marji Morgan for her podcast Lines on Wines a few weeks ago. Sarah discussed how we got into the winemaking business, and Mark talked about new winemaking techniques he’s planning for the 2024 vintage. Take a listen here.
